As a Vehicle Technician reporting into the Prep Centre Manager your main responsibilities will be the ongoing service, repair and pre-delivery inspection checks of vehicles.
More about the role:
- Carry out routine service works as per dealership guidelines
- Provide additional work detail workshop control
- Provide regular work status updates
- Complete pre-delivery inspections on new stock vehicles
- Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others
- Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road testing vehicles after work has been carried out
- Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty and Dealership requirements
- Accurately complete job cards, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed
More about you:
- Level 3 qualification in vehicle service and repair
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Vehicle Technician (franchised dealership preferred)

Our Preparation site is based in Aldridge where we carry out vehicle repairs on all makes and models of cars and light commercial vehicles, Job description Monday – Friday 08.30-18.00 Saturday: Upon request and paid additionally About the role: Whilst working in our specialised vehicle preparation area, you will play a key role preparing vehicles to achieve a ‘right first time’ finish, meeting daily targets set within our refurbishment depart. Supporting the rest of the team, the Vehicle Painter/Prepper role will involve: Sanding down panels Masking panels ready for paint Using filler to repair damaged body panels Priming panels ready for paint Ensure there are no defects on work produced Painting panels to colour match the vehicle using the latest industry technology Adhere to all requirements for hazardous or non-hazardous waste disposal Maintain a clean and organised work environment About you: To ensure we choose the right candidates for the role, we are looking for someone: With a minimum of 2 years Bodyshop Prep experience A good and thorough understanding of vehicle refurbishment repair process Who can work well within a team and on their own initiative Able to follow instructions verbally or from a job card With a keen eye for detail, quality and who takes pride in their work With a flexible attitude to working hours and overtime With an ATA /NVQ certification, however this is not essential. As a Handover Specialist you will have a pivotal role within our business. You will be the last point of contact with our customers as they drive away in their new vehicle. Your role will demand upon you to be an expert in every vehicle sold by the business as you will be called upon to ensure that the customer is familiar with their new vehicle, its accessories i.e. Bluetooth, Air Conditioning, Parking Sensors, Satellite Navigation etc, and driver aids before leaving the business. This is a unique role and we are looking for someone with a strong customer service focus with a full UK driving licence. You must be from a customer facing background, ideally with an element of sales. Role responsibilities: As a Handover Advisor, you will be working closely with the sales team and delivering a high level of customer experience. Once the sales team have sold a car it will be your responsibility to: Track all vehicle orders progressing through the business departments until handover and ensure every vehicle is handed over in a professional and timely manner. Keep all customers informed of collection dates and times. Must have the ability to manage a diary system. Demonstrate vehicle features before the customer leave our business premises. Ensure all paperwork is completed on time and handed into the correct departments. Liaising with customers after handover and keeping them happy. Must be able to excite all customers on our brand and reputation. Ensuring positive customer feedback is met after each handover using internal systems. Making sure the car is fully prepared, managing the process to ensure all the work is completed to the agreed timescales. Checking all the paperwork with the customer, from car specification to finance documents are completed to company standards.
